If a new member submits a custom signup form multiple times really quickly or there is more than one Memberstack script in the head tag a duplicate member will be created with the same email. This breaks the user and will not let them login.
If payment fails during plan change, their subscription is cancelled
OG Thread: https://community.memberstack.com/c/community-feedback/upgrade-downgrade-issues When a member attempts to upgrade their account and their payment fails, their existing membership and account are cancelled. Meaning we are losing out on MRR due to involuntary churn. If an upgrade payment fails, they should return back to their original subscription.
Broken free trials
1) The problem → I have a membership plan with a free trial, but members are getting billed immediately. They are signing up directly paid for a paid membership. 2) Why is this important → I need to issue refunds and convince people I wasn't trying to rip them off. It's misleading and unacceptable. 3) What's your plan B → We were doing the free trial via coupon before you released the trial feature in house. The problem with that is it screws up the data in Stripe, since trial users are then counted as subscribers and incorrectly included in MRR calcs.
